the fairy festival

ahhh...the fairy festival, every 3 year old girls dream. Imagine 100 little girls all in wings and flowing pink dresses.

After a negotiation about putting clothes back on after a trip to the potty we settled on 'ok, tutu and no skirt, but you have to wear a hat'. Nice look Z.

Daddy likes his little fairy girl.

Max could care less about stinkin' fairies...he was really into the little league game next door.

...and climbing the fence at our local reservoir for a little swim

cool bike, no?

end of an era

It's officially the end of an era: Bowers Bakery (our 3x week breakfast stop located directly across the street) has closed it's doors after 30 yrs of business. Max is quite bummed.

Max has no inhibitions what so ever. While watching a juggler, Max invited himself to be part of the act and climbed up on stage all by himself. He does not get that from me!

It's Springtime here in Portland.

li'l cowpokes

Our neighbor turned 3 and had her party at a farm. For a 3 year old, there ain't nothin' like going to a farm! (and everyone got these very cute cowboy hats to take home)...

Max was soooo excited!

eatin' cake was fun too.

Recently Zadie set up this odd assemblage, it appears to be some sort of teddy bear baptism.

Can anything be more frightening than the idea of Max driving?

Sleeping at mimi and poppa's house (note: even asleep, he's still holding onto that satin ribbon)!

jumping, jumping, jumping!

Z is interested in the blazer buttons because they have eagles on them. I told her that the eagle is the symbol of america and that the eagle lives in the white house...she says that the eagle looks a little angry. ..I said that I agree...now she's looking at a map which shows a picture of the white house. she's decided that she'll paint the white house pink.
